caught up with CM Punk this week who gave a candid interview about his life at WWE and his love for past wrestling greats. The WWE Champion shared his respect for Macho Man Randy Savage and the time he wore WrestleMania III Macho Man tights to pay homage to the great wrestler when he died. Punk declared Macho Man ‘cooler than anyone around today, myself included’.

Punk told the mag wrestling alongside his own wrestling heroes blows his mind and getting the support of the likes of Mick Foley, is bigger than his biggest pay check. He said ‘That’s validation from people who are as close to being my heroes as you can get’.

Punk explained that even as Champion he can still feel like an outsider in a world that is all about image. But Punk lets his skills define who he is. ‘Who cares if I don’t look like you want me to? That’s something I’ve been dealing with my entire life.’
